Romans 1:19(a) -20
… that which is known about God is evident within them;
for God made it evident to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes,
His eternal power and divine nature,
have been clearly seen,
being understood through what has been made,
so that they were without excuse.
God made it evident…. Where do I start with the evidence God has shown to me during my brief stay here on Planet Earth? He says that as I consider those things which could be here only by His creative genius, I will be persuaded anew of God’s awesome power. He makes it evident to me.
I’ll begin with the sun–the sun bringing the sunrise and the sunset–the sun which is as a bridegroom coming forth out of his chamber…its rising is from one end of the heavens and it’s circuit to the other end and nothing is hidden from its heat1 –, majestic cumulus clouds touching the tip of a mountain made of rocks, the huge blue whale and the shy creeping crab, tiny buttercups, towering redwoods, the whispering wings of a hummingbird, the thundering falls of Niagara, myriads of animals, all so uniquely diverse–evidence of His handiwork
Evidence within…. We believe in the resurrection of Jesus for we have His life within us as evidence. His resurrection is a vital part of our faith for if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins (I Cor. 15:17). No! I am not guilty–weighed down and judged because of sins I have committed. He died that I might be forgiven and if He has not been raised, then I’m still unforgiven! We serve a living God! All other religions worship a dead god–a god that does not exist. I choose to believe those things He has made evident to me–within me.
We have a very pragmatic, logical God who gives us evidence of His being through His invisible attributes, His eternal power and His divine nature.
Who else but God goes back and forth to Heaven? Who else holds the wind in His fists and wraps up the ocean in His cloak? Who but God created the world? If there is any other–what is his name–and his son’s name–if you know it (Proverbs 30:4 TLB)?
Indisputable evidence! I believe as I consider2.
