We who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake…
(Can You tell me why this must be, Lord?)
that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
(Thank You for Your prompt answer.)
2 Corinthians 4:11
I wonder.
For those who give God glory and praise and honor in spite of, or in the midst of, their painful, often tragic circumstances, why should God be quick to remove them?
He knows, and His compassion for the hurting masses, for the millions who do not know Him, may cause Him to allow my painful circumstances to go unhindered so that others might see His marvelous, sustaining power in my life.
Then again, it may not be the masses or the millions; it may be my son, or my daughter, or my neighbor, or someone that I don’t even know. They must see something in my life that they need. Am I willing to allow Him to put my life on display? Am I willing to allow Him to make that decision?
That’s a hard question, Lord. Let me think about it.
Could it be that God has chosen me as one in whose life and circumstances the impossible must be accomplished for Him to be glorified? Could it be He has chosen you?
I’m willing, Lord.
I know You’ll be my Strength, regardless.
And I trust You. . . .
