“I fall upon the thorns of life, I bleed!”
– P.B. Shelley
THORNS DO NOT PRICK
UNLESS
YOU FALL AGAINST THEM.
So there are “thorns” in your life—
don’t pretend they aren’t there.
That would deny God the chance
to wrap the thorns with roses
and would prevent the fragrance
of your testimony from
delighting and encouraging others.
No. Don’t do that.
Just don’t lean on them
or
work with them till your
fingers are bloody
or
grab them and strap them
to your back
or
cradle them
in your arms . . .
STAND BACK . . .
And watch how God handles thorns!

The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.
Exodus 14:14
Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.
2 Chronicles 20:15
In all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Romans 8:37
Stand [we] will, for the Lord is able to make[us] stand.
